As a stay at home mother of 5 for 23 years, I often took care of other families' children while the parents worked, were busy or out of town. I volunteered as a cub, boy and girl scout troop leader for 7 years. I was the Y-Indian Maiden nation leader for over 100 mothers and daughters. For many years I organized and ran camping trips and field trips for the scout troops. During my 6 years with Indian Maidens, I oversaw part or all of the weekend getaways, camping trips and one day events. I have volunteered at the local soup kitchen for 10 years and have helped out at their tutoring center. One of my children was homeschooled by me for part of her school years, and I have always assisted all my children with their homework and projects. For 10 years I took all my children on 4-5 week summer trips around the country, including Washington, DC, New York City, Boston, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. We would visit historical sites and educational locations, such as Williamsburg, Civil War sites, Revolutionary War sites, museums, monuments, the Capitol, etc. I enjoy contributing to children's life experiences and the achievement of their full potential.
I was a stay at home mother of five, including set of boy twins, for 23 years. During those years I volunteered as a cub scout, boy scout, and girl scout leader, and as a nation leader for Y-Indian Maidens.
