Jocelyn Z. Babysitter in La Mesa, CA 91941. Looking for work as a babysitter.

This past year I just graduated from High School. I am a United States and Californian citizen, who will be attending UCLA this mid-September as an incoming freshman. Since my freshman year of High School, I have been a regular babysitter for 5 different families. These families, however, do not live in San Diego. Because I am in San Diego for the summer, I would like to inquire into babysitting here. The five different families I babysat for in high school all had 3 to 4 children, with pets (dog or cat). I've had to deal with temper tantrums, the reluctancy to go to bed/eat dinner, and small messes to clean up. But beacause I have the experience, all of these small issues are delt with easily. I have babysat for ages 2months to 12 years, and everything in between. 
 
During high school, I volunteered at my local church as the teachers assistant for pre-kindergarden classes. It was fun, and sometimes the teacher and I would have thirty or more children in the class. On some days when she could not attend, I would have to run the class myself. This was fun, and something I really enjoyed doing. Because of that, during my senior year I applied for a tutoring job for three elementary school girls, and tutored them twice a week in Math and Writing. I also kept up a good relationship with their parents; they liked to know how their children were doing, on what areas they were struggling, and what I was focusing on during each session. 
 
I speak conversational Chinese (mandarin). I am not fluent (due to the fact that my reading is limited), but can hold a conversation on any topic, and understand the language. 
 
My caregiving philosophy is fun and learning. I want the kids to have fun when I babysit. Of course, I still go by the parents' bedtime regulations, 'sweets no sweets', etc... but I'm the kind of babysitter who will sit down with a child and play with them, go outside (if its daytime) and toss a ball, or read them a story before bedtime. I also promote safety. I am a certified babysitter with the red cross. Part of that certification is first aid training. I also took part in some preliminary CPR classes during a summer junior lifeguarding course a few years ago. 
 
I would also enjoy babysitting pets. Although I have not done it before, I have experience with animals. I have two dogs and three cats at the moment. One of the dogs is a puppy, and the other is 10 years old, so I know how to work with animals of all sizes and ages.
