I love kids! My career has been completely dedicated to serving children and families. My prior work experience includes foster care case management, child protective services investigations and work for a national organization that supports communities in the prevention and treatment of child abuse. I just completed my Masters Degree in Social Work and moved to Ventura County. 

While my jobs have been dedicated to ensuring children's safety and well-being, my real passion is play! I volunteered as a site coordinator at a play program for children living in a large, Washington, DC homeless shelter for several years. Once a week, I supervised 10-20 volunteers who carry out a play curriculum for 20-50 children. The pure joy the program and volunteer attention brings to these kids, despite their circumstances, is amazing. Most of my time is spent putting out fires, supervising volunteers and dealing with behavior challenges so I never have as much time as I'd like to participate in the play curriculum.

That is where babysitting comes in. Babysitting provides an opportunity for me to share the joy and energy that play brings with children directly. I balance fun and safety well and am always prepared with a craft, puppet or game. I’d love to chat and see if I would be a good fit for your family!
