Vivien babysat for my 5 month old son in our hotel room while I was visiting San Francisco. My son was already in his crib, but I just want someone to watch over him and be with him in case something happens. She came 10 minutes early so I could give her a quick walk through. Vivien has been regularly babysitting for us one afternoon per week for the past 4 months. I can't say enough wonderful things about Vivien. She has been caring for our very active son since he was 13 months old and he adores her. He is always very excited to see her when she arrives at our place. Vivien has been extremely flexible with our schedule and is 100% punctual (always shows up a little early). She has a true passion for childcare and regularly brings age-appropriate educational toys and books/materials to our place. If my son naps while she is caring for him, she uses the down time to writeup a summary of his activities and her observations of him or tidies up our place. A friend of ours observed her in the park with our son and told us later that she was very impressed with Vivien's attentiveness to our son. We are incredibly grateful for the care she has given our son and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a babysitter. - Matilda C.

Vivien was exceptional! She arrived early and allowed me to provide instructions on babysitting our 2 childrens (1 of whom has autism). Vivien brought some great age-appropriate toys for the kids (bubbles, books, squishy balls). She immediately engaged with them, took them out in our backyard to play with them and they loved her (my kids are usually shy around first time sitters, but warmed up to her right away). Vivien did a great job with my 7 month old today. She was entertaining and educational at the same time. I was impressed at all she did with a few simple toys she brought (balls, colorful scarves, and a tambourine), that she used to engage my daughter and to explore sight, sound, touch and taste. She also brought a few books to read. She was particularly good with vocabulary, and kept up a running commentary on all the activities, using an appropriate mixture of simple and complex words. It was also a nice touch that she folded the baby's clothes and straightened up the nursery and kitchen. Both Mom and Baby were very happy! - Anastasia M.

We stayed in San Francisco for a week and had Vivien babysit for one night. She had great reviews and an excellent background in educating youngsters, so we met her and knew right away we could trust her with our six month old. She was singing and dancing and making ear-catching sounds for our baby from the get-go even with other people in the room that she didn't know! When she came over to babysit, she brought over a few toys of her own that were very stimulating, as well as some baby sign language sheets which she knew my hubby and I were learning and wanting to teach our little one. She made detailed notes of the evening so that we could tell she was 100% attentive to our little one. I can't tell you how good this made us feel being in a city we didn't know, a hotel room, and finding a sitter through the Internet, but we found a gem with Vivien! She even made notes about different songs and stories that are age-appropriate for our baby, some of which I didn't know, and I appreciate the recommendations.
