Aja agreed to begin a job at 5:30 as we had to attend a business event starting at 7:00. By 6:30 she had not arrived or called and we could not reach her by phone, and we had to get a neighbor to look after our daughter. Aja's lack of professionalism and irresponsibility caused a great deal of stress for our family and nearly ruined our evening. Terrible experience. - David & Sue Ellen C.

Aja helped a mom in need. She arrived 15 minutes early and was ready to help the moment she walked in the door. With my husband out of town and three little ones under 4 (with one sick), I needed the extra set of hands. I was fortunate to see Aja in action. Aja was great with the kids. She helped out tremendously, especially with my 3.5 year old daughter who needed the most attention while I took care of my 2 month old. Being a mother herself she was very attentive to the children's needs. I highly recommend Aja for any full time nanny position or babysitting. She's warm and nurturing for the little ones, but also fun and friendly for the older ones too. Now, I have someone I can call on when we need some grown-up time. Aja was able to sit for me on short notice when my mom was unable to watch my son one evening this week. I had already spoken to her over the phone to arrange for an upcoming weekend and was impressed with her positive reviews on SitterCity. She arrived on time (early, in fact) and met me at home after a very hectic day when everything seemed to be going wrong for me. Her calm demeanor and warm personality was exactly what we were hoping for. My son immediately took to her and he loved her darling little daughter, too! After acquainting Aja with my son's routine, my husband and I left for our appointment feeling reassured that we'd chosen the right sitter. Our feelings were confirmed when we returned home a couple hours later to find a very happy, bathed baby and clean kitchen. We will absolutely be using Aja again and highly recommend her! - Kim B.

Aja is awesome!!! We visited Pasadena from out of town and needed someone to help out with our 9-year old son for the weekend. She was flexible and friendly and even consented at the last minute to watch two additional boys on the first night. She took my son swimming and even played his favorite video games. I'm so glad the sitter I hired ended up flaking out on us. I ended up hiring Aja 48 hours before the job and WOW! She's awesome. First off, she was quickly responsive to my messages, emails and phone call and communicated clearly. She arrived on time, to our home, she instantly made a connection with my toddler son and he was giggling with joy within a minute of meeting her - he knew she was here to play with him! While we were out she sent us text updates, I didn't even ask for this, but appreciated it greatly! When we came home my son had taken his nap, colored, and was busy playing cars with her. Aja was reliable, on time and very diligent in caring for my 4 month old daughter. I was a little nervous leaving her for the first time with a sitter, but Aja put me right at ease. She checked in with me regularly, and I was glad she was very experienced with infants and had had her own child as well. I'd also like to mention that I was extra nervous because my daughter had to have her shots scheduled that same morning, and I was worried about leaving her in case she was extra fussy or felt feverish. Aja was GREAT with her and she went to sleep without issue, and Aja was kind enough to take her temp for me and watch her for any signs of fever - what a relief! I would also mention that before I left, Aja pointed out I had a medication for children that was available in infant form and I might want to be aware of the dosage differences - though I had the correct dosage from the doctor to use with the children's version, her concern that I didn't have an infant version of that medicine was well noted and much appreciated! After 10 months, I decided that I finally needed a little help with our little boy. As a nervous, first-time mom, I am naturally cautious and look for someone who is really top-notch. Well, I found her! From the moment she walked into our home for her interview, my husband and I were impressed with her professionalism and calm demeanor. She's watched our little boy a couple of times and each time I have come in to our home, I find him giggling, playing with her on the floor and to a clean, organized environment. She's attentive, calm, very thorough, and obviously knows her way around a baby and mama's world. Needless to say, we love her! She's also VERY good at scheduling through calls or texting (so convenient for me as things change on a dime with a family). She rolls with my schedule and stays in great communication in regards to her schedule. Once I saw how great she was with our little boy, I immediately reserved more dates with her. She even texts me info on good baby websites, tips and cool new toys. We can't wait to see her again! - Katie H.

What can I say about Aja that the other Moms have not already? She is quick to respond to requests, has been prompt each time we've had her help us out and as a Mom who is just getting back into the workforce it's really amazing to have someone so wonderful and sweet and dependable to leave my sweet angel with. But thats a lot of what you've read already from other Moms who have reviewed her so I asked my 4 year old what she thinks of Aja and here is what she said, "she needs to come more often" and "she played with me the WHOLE TIME!!"
