I recently finished my sophomore year of college as an Elementary Education major, with a minor in Childhood Development. I am a very responsible young adult who has tons of experience with children. I have an absolute passion for working with them and pouring into their lives. I got married in October, so I have been taking some time off of school. I'm not sure when school will financially be able to come back into the picture, but when it is, I will most likely be doing online courses, allowing myself to still work full-time hours. We will not financially be able to lose my income. Therefore, a long-term position is definitely desired. I am both infant/child CPR and First Aid certified. I grew up with many kids in my family, which gave me so much experience in itself. I also volunteer at my church nursery every Sunday (and have for the past 6 years). The child care director referred me to people seeking childcare outside of church related activities and events. I have extensively worked with infants, multiples, children with disabilities, preteens, you name it! I attended my two years of school in Texas. I lived in Dallas for a year and worked for an agency which sent me out to different elementary schools and day cares all over town as a substitute teacher. Upon moving to a new school, I became employed part-time by a daycare, as well as nannying full-time (sometimes 16 hours a day) for a family with two young kids, ages 4-years-old and 8-months-old. I moved back to Colorado in January and had been nannying for an infant boy, age 2-months-old when I started, and they sadly moved to Portland in May. I had so much fun with the baby and I helped a lot with household chores (vacuuming, dusting, dishes, baby's laundry, etc). We loved going on walks. My last job was with three extremely well behaved children: 8 and 10-year-old girls in elementary school all day, and a 4-year-old that is in part-time preschool. Unfortunately, their mother left her job, and went back to staying at home. Currently, I work full time for an AMAZING family that only needs me part time once summer comes because the dad is a high school teacher. All this being said, I am back on the job hunt! I am hoping to go back to them full tome once the school year starts back up, however if i found something in the mean time that prevented that from happening, that would be ok too. Being that most of my work experience is in childcare, I have many references available upon request. I would love to speak with you and further discuss the possibility of working for your family! I appreciate your time in reading this, and I hope to hear from you soon!
