My Family 

I have two children of my own ages 8 years (girl) and 6 years (boy). I am married to a wonderful husband and father. I also have a 16 year old step son part time. I have experience with infants all the way through school aged kids. I love kids of all ages as I feel each stage of life has it's special times!! We also have 1 cat.

My Preferences

I prefer non smoking home or having the kids at my house. I am a Christian. I can do your home or mine, and don't mind leaving my kids at home with daddy. I don't mind picking kids up or dropping them off. I don't mind late night pick ups at my home or late night drop offs back to your home. I also do not mind working late hours or even some overnights. I have a mini van that seats 7 so I'm okay with driving kids places if needed.

Experience

I have 20 years of childcare/babysitting experience. I used to work in the church nursery in TX and still occasionally watch the neighbors children and my friends children. I also help out in  my church nursery here in CO as needed (volunteer). I have read the love and logic parenting books and love using what I've learned on my kids. I find that it really works. I also am a volunteer with Junior Achievement and do this teaching in a Kindergarden class of 22 students as well as a 2nd grade class of 24. I have volunteered as a coach for my daughter's soccer team of 8 kids in the past. I taught Kindergarden Sunday School at my church during the summer and work with preschool during VBS at church as a volunteer. I have taught AWANA Cubbies which is the preschool age group at church for two years and WOW which is the Wednesday night preschool class at church. I currently teach AVANA Sparkies which is Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Both the WOW and AWANA jobs are volunteer. So as you can see I love working with kids as all my volunteer work is with kids.

About Me

We live in Littleton and have been there for 6 years. I'm okay with animals and I have no allergies. I work in healthcare (although non clinical) so I'm okay with special needs kids or kids that need to get medication as my son has some special needs. I used to be a CNA and MA. I am currently in nursing school. I love reading books, playing, going on walks to the park, art, and anything else that kids like to do. I like to be down on the floor with the kids I watch, not sitting up in a chair while they play.

I would love to find part time work, temporary or permanent, where I can feel a part of the family and where the parent(s) and kid(s) trust me. I am a professional and I am highly educated. My CPR expires 3/31/15 as I just recertified in March 2013.I am 3 classes shy of completing my RN (BSN). Please feel free to contact me with other questions or feel free to contact my references.
