I am a Saint Joseph College graduate with a BS degree in Nutrition/Dietetics.  I have been babysitting, nannying, and tutoring for about 15 years.  I am a high energy individual which helps me keep up with kids.  I have always believed in encouraging kids to be their best in school, sports, music or whatever it is they love doing.  Just knowing that I have been a positive influence on someone gives me fulfillment.

For 3 years I volunteered as a youth group counselor/leader at Valley Community Baptist Church in Avon CT.  I had a group of 12 girls from the time they were in 6th - 8th grade.  We met weekly at the church for youth group, went on weekend retreats, and also 2 week long missions trips.  I loved that experience and am looking to find something similar again.

I love to cook, read stories, encourage creativity, and just have fun with all the children I've worked with.  When I am babysitting, my attention is 100% with the kids because I enjoy it and I am a very responsible person.  I know children of all ages need constant supervision, but also they need to be around someone who is a good role model.  I love it when kids think of me as their friend, but most importantly I want to be a good example for them of how to work and play well together.
