Hello Families! I am currently available for occasional/regular evening and weekend babysitting. I have worked as a professional nanny/caregiver since 1998. I began my career as a nanny while living in Germany (I'm fluent in German!). I worked as a full time nanny for a wonderful family for 4 1/2 years before returning to the U.S. with my husband in 2002. Upon my return to the U.S., I began studying Early Childhood Education/Child Development while working as a full time nanny for a wonderful family in Los Angeles. While living in Los Angeles, I also began to do on-call evening babysitting through an agency and found that to be a fun, exciting experience. I love working with families and have really enjoyed playing with lots of little ones over the years! We moved to West Hartford in 2007, and we are here to stay! I worked as a full time nanny for the first year we were here up until my son was born in 2008. We welcomed another little guy in 2010! Since 2009 I have cared for a few little ones alongside my boys a few days a week. I will never need to bring my children to your house. My husband enjoys his time with the boys whenever I work in the evening :) I have continued to care for little ones in West Hartford in the evenings since 2008 and have developed great relationships with many local families. I have excellent West Hartford references! I am professional, reliable, punctual, confidential, caring and I believe in having great communication with all of the families I work with. It is important to me to be as consistent as possible with your style of parenting. I am able to set boundaries while being firm but gentle at the same time. As an experienced sitter, I will not be texting/talking on my Iphone while looking after your little ones :) I really do enjoy playing with them and learning from them. Thank you so much for reading! Laura babysat for us last night and she was wonderful! We needed someone last minute and her profile stood out to us immediately. She looked friendly, warm and she was very well educated and experienced. We contacted her references and they were glowing. We called three local families and they all said that Laura was punctual, reliable, professional and most importantly that their children adored her. Our boys are 4 and almost 2 and have been left with a handful of sitters, but they have never asked anyone to come back before! Our four year old has been talking about how much fun he had with her since he woke up this morning. We will definintely be hiring Laura whenever we need a sitter! - Karen R.

Laura babysat for our two boys who are now 7 and 5. She was the first babysitter I would trust as a new mother to watch my children and by far one of the best caregivers we have ever had the pleasure of working with since then.
