I am a Registered Nurse with more than six years of Pediatric Nursing experience, 6 years of home-based newborn care and nanny experience, and one year of teaching experience with children ages 2-12. I am available for long term nanny positions, short term and long term newborn care positions (including overnight newborn care), short term and one-time babysitting jobs. I am available from Sunday night June 29th through the rest of the summer! As a baby nurse and nanny, I am focused, thoughtful, intuitive, and empathetic. In the early months, I focus on helping the baby to establish good eating and sleeping habits. I use a gentle baby-centered approach for both of these important patterns. I love dogs but am allergic to cats. For short term babysitting jobs, I am seeking positions with a minimum of 4 hours per shift. Prior to becoming a mother, I was a nanny for many years while in college and graduate school and a babysitter while in middle and high school. I have CPR and 1St Aid Certifications and am highly experienced with dealing with any issues that may arise while caring for infants, young children, tweens and teens. I love supporting kids to play and learn from experiences (games, crafts, sports) but am also ready to support homework and school assignments. I’ve been caring for children for over 10 years, both as a babysitter and as a live-in au pair. I switched careers from Administration to Childcare starting at the end of 2013. I have experience working with live-in and live-out families (infant-teen). I finally realize I'm doing what I love and will open a home daycare in the future.
