Hello!! My name is Nakya Leonard, and first I would like to thank all the families for looking at my profile. The reason I’ve chosen to be a nanny or a babysitter is because I love working with children. To just be around children it’s like an honor because I feel proud to know that I can make a big difference in some child life.

I am 23 years old and was born in Washington Dc. I come from a wonderful family of three children. I am a very helpful, laid back, organized, serious, and creative person. My most passionate are writing poems, reading, working on the computer and learning. I started working with children when I was 14. While in school I major in parenthood classes in my last year of high school. Since graduate from school I earn my 120 clock hours at Professional Development xxxx@xxxx.xxx Children's Found, Inc.  I got my Child Development Associate (CDA Certificate), first Aid & CPR (Certificate) and also have childcare training (Certificate).

 I love to read to the children, sing to them while doing finger play, teacher them a little baby sign language, engage in different activity their little imaginations come up with. Going on nature walks and watch as they drift into peaceful sleep.

In closing I would like to say I feel as though I am not the one who is teaching the children. The children are the ones who are teaching me. In all that have been said I would like to say I am a better person and a better teacher because each day I learn from my children as well as the children learn from me.
