Hi, I'm Ashlyn! I'm from Pennsylvania and am Pre-Med student at the University of Miami.At Miami, I'm on the mock trial team, and I am a member of Kids & Culture, a club that tutors and mentors underprivileged children.

 I have been babysitting for five years. I have a sister who is nine years younger than me, so I have a lot of experience taking care of young children through middle school/ pre-teen age. I have also worked at the JCC camp for three years caring for children from ages 2-14. This summer I worked as a counselor with 5th and 6th graders. I went on trips with the children ranging from one to five days. I am also a lifeguard and taught swimming lessons for children ages 2-10. 

When I babysit I like to make the children feel as comfortable as possible. My younger sister had a very hard time whenever my parents would leave, so I know how important it is to keep kids busy. I love doing art projects and hands-on activities. The largest family I cared for had 4 children: an eight year-old, a ten year-old, a two year-old, and a fourteen year-old. I also love animals. 

I have spent time tutoring children as well, so if you need a tutor and a babysitter I'm sure I can help. Right now I don't have a specified major, but I am contemplating minoring in Chemistry. I also know Latin (I took four years of it) and am learning Spanish.
