I have cared for children for a little over 10 years, beginning when I was about 13 years old. I have experience with children between the ages of infancy to 15. I have done light cleaning and cooking for families in the past. I have been responsible for administering medication to a child with Cystic Fibrosis before meals and snacks as well as actively sitting with her and making sure she does her breating treatments correctly. I have also administered insulin. I have been present when one of the children I cared for had an epileptic seizure for the first time and know how to react in this type of situation. I have experience with children who have difficult behavior. Two of the children I cared for have ADHD. I also have 2 children of my own. Ages 6 and 1. My son has been diagnosed with ADHD and we do not have him on any medication. I cannot provide care in homes where there are cats due to being highly allergic. It would be helpful for me if I am able to bring my daughter along with me and pick up my son after school. If leaving the home is not an option I can make arrangements for my son to be picked up and dropped off at the home where I am as long as this is okay with the parents.
