I live in Chesapeake. We have been here for 2 years now. I am a full time mother of two children, 1 military husband, 1 dog and 2 cats. I have been babysitting children since I was in my early teens. I enjoy it very much and find it easy and comfotrable. My children are in school now but will accompany me on a job during non-school hours. I do not sit for any families on a regular basis currently. I do exchange sitting duties with my friends from time to time. I have even been known to call and invite a group of my childrens' friend over to do and activity to bake cookies. We even have movie nights with soda & popcorn on a Friday once in a while. I have watched children of all ages and of all different number of groups. I am not imidated by large families or a single child. Boys or girlsor both, bring it on. I am game, or we can make it a game. I normally follow the house rules of the family I sit for. My philosophy is that children should be active during the day and not spaced out in front of the TV. I try to engage them in activities, games, crafts, story books, toys, etc., to keep them busy. I get them involved in the household chores, cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc. The only lifestlylerules I follow are that children should respect their elders and each other, respect personal property, and use their manners. I generally cook meals in accordance to the families wishes.
