I have been babysitting since I was 14 and have watched children of all ages. While I have cared for infants and toddlers, I prefer older children as I have had more experience with them. I have younger siblings that I have cared for since they were young, I have seen them grow up and am very attuned to children's needs. I am a psychology major working on my Masters degree now, which aids in my knowledge of children. I get along well with children and have had experience with both boys and girls. I have several references from families that I have babysat over the years. Some were occasional weekend babysitting jobs while others were full time.

3 Years as a Babysitter
For three consecutive summer's I watched two school-aged boys 7 hours a day, 5 days a week and cared for the family's chocolate lab. I prepared lunch for the boys, drove them to their activities, and supervised their summer school work.
1 Year as a Mother's Helper
I helped care for a young adult who was epileptic over the holidays. I would feed him, read to him, play games with him, or watch a movie with him for a few hours at a time. I would have to monitor him at all times in case of a seizure.
