Hello I am Colleen and I am from Chicago, Illinois. I started babysitting when I was about 13 years old for neighbors and I have been lifeguarding at Beverly Country Club for the past two years. Lifeguarding has helped me improve my basic skills with kids, because throughout the summer I'd give one on one lessons to young kids who needed to learn how to swim. In addition, I learned about CPR and First Aid and how to apply these skills to real life scenarios. Also when I was in elementary school I attended a babysitting class at Little Company of Mary Hospital- where I received a certification in babysitting. This class went over important techniques when babysitting an infant. I am an undergraduate college student, attending Lake Forest College, and majoring in art education . I enjoy working with kids which is one of the many reasons why I wish to be a teacher. Some hobbies of mine include listening to music, drawing, hiking, reading, and pretty much any outdoor activities! I am a people person- very compatible. I hope to find a caring, fun family in need of a Summer babysitter.
