Dear Future Friend,

I am writing in response to your job advertisement for the position of babysitter/caregiver. I have two girls who are 18 and 19. My oldest just completed her first year at Tulane University, and my youngest will begin her Senior Year this fall at Byrd High. I am a teacher by trade. This has prepared me for every possible situation that could arise as a private caregiver.

My work experience includes both regular and special education. I have over ten years of experience as a Certified Special Education teacher. I have worked with students ranging in age from Elementary level to High School level. I believe my experience working as a teacher will be a great asset in the position of babysitter/caregiver.

Since I believe we are always learning, I would like to tell you about my experience in this area. I think my experience would allow me to take advantage of every situation in which your child could learn something new. I do have experience tutoring individuals ranging in age from the Kindergarten level to the Adult level. I also have experience preparing students for the Louisiana State Standardized Test and the General Equivalency Diploma Test. I am very familiar with the content on these tests.

In addition to my teaching certificate, I also have a bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology. While pursuing my Master's Degree in this area I obtained over 99 hours of clinical experience working with clients ranging from two years of age to 89 years of age. I have experience providing therapy for articulation, language, voice, and stuttering disorders. Additionally, I am trained various activities that are designed to improve cognitive processing, memory, and attention skills.
