Alanna W. Babysitter in Boston, MA 02113. Looking for work as a babysitter.

My name is Alanna and I am 26 years old. I have over eight years of childcare experience. I am very energetic and outgoing. My education includes a high school degree at Taft, a boarding school in CT.  in 2008. In May 2008, I graduated from St. Lawrence University with a B.A. in Fine Arts & Sociology. At St. Lawrence, I was involved in mentoring underprivileged children and as well as participating in four years of varsity lacrosse and served as captain my senior year.

After graduating, i worked as an artist in Boulder, Colorado. I also worked for a family outside Boulder for two little girls, 6 and 8. There is a picture of us in the uploaded photos.. I left Colorado in 2010 and moved to Vermont and worked for a couple local families babysitting  while I completed my first year in the  Masters Program at UVM for a degree in Social Work. I am planning to finish my degree within the next two years in Boston, and am hoping to continue my art career as well. 

The last year I returned to Darien, CT and was a babysitter/ nanny for a 9 month old baby girl and two year old boy. My responsibilities included daily feeding, care, and providing a comfortable and fun environment. I have had such a rewarding experiences working with kids of all different ages.

My days as a nanny for these children often included trips to the library, nature walks, and plenty of time doing arts and crafts. I am certified in CPR and First Aid Certified for all ages, as well as lifeguard certified. I am also a certified swimming instructor and have experience-teaching kids of all ages. I have excellent references and am looking for a family who needs about twenty hours a week.

 I know my future will be in education, social work and definitely working with children in some capacity. I have had such great experiences with the families I have worked for in the past and I would love to help out your family. I have lacrosse coaching experience at high school and college levels All my fingerprints and records were checked in order to work for a school, so I have a 100% clean record. I currently Coach for Metro Lacrosse 5 days a week but practices are from 6pm 8pm. We have four games left and the season ends soon. MetroLacrosse is a non-profit organization whose mission is to address the social and economic disparities that exist in urban settings by inspiring personal, educational and athletic success among urban youth and teens.

Typically I charge at least 15$/hr & an extra 2$/hr for each additional child.
