I would like to become a nanny because I miss working with children. I have been working at a fast paced food service job for about 4 years, and i am looking to get back into something that I love. I remember when I decided to leave the caycare job, I cried so much because I loved those children so much. Thankfully, I have kept in contact with a few of the families and get Christmas cards and pictures. I love the long lasting loving friendships with the parents and children.

I started babysitting for my neighbor's children starting at the age of 12. I also cared for my little sister who was 4 years old when I was 12. My mother worked nights, so I took care of her. I worked in a home day care part time for 2 years during high school; and then full time for 2 years after I graduated. I left that job, but continued to babysit for a few of the families. I still babysit for one of them right now. It has been a wonderful experience to see this child grow up and to be a part of his life. When he started going to the daycare, he was only 3 months old. Now this little boy is 8 years old. I love that I was able to stay in this child's life even after I left my job. I also volunteer in my church nursery. The ages are 0-4 years old. There is anywhere from 1 to 6 children at a time.

I am CPR and first aid certified.
