Laura L. Babysitter in Somerville, MA 02145. Looking for work as a babysitter.

I am 30 years old, andhave a Bachelors degree in Business Communications, but I have recently (Sept. 2011) gone back to school to become a Family Nurse Practitioner at Regis College in Weston, MA.  I am a full time student with a somewhat traditional schedule.  I am married and live in Somerville.

While I have not babysat actively in roughly 7 years, kids are kids! I love finding ways to light up kids eyes.  While in college the first time around, I babysat for three kids who loved to have fun.  We spent hours making fish out of items from the recycling bin, hunting for the best collage items possible in the park, and making up the craziest, wackiest, most fun games we could imagine.  It was fantastic.  (And on a rainy day, there's nothing better than making homemade play-doh!!)  I cannot wait to have my own children to do these fun things with - but for now, babysitting will have to do!  I like to make sure that kids minds are engaged and excited, but at the same time, I have a good sense of when something may be out of reach for a certain child. I practice Yoga, and have a very calm demeanor, but definitely know how to get down on the floor and have fun and be goofy.  I also have a full arsenal of sing-a-long songs from many, many years at summer camp!

I am not currently caring for any children, but have cared for children as young as 6 days. I am vegan, but am comfortable preparing all types of foods. I have a small car (Toyota Prius) in good working condition and a Somerville parking permit.
