Hi! My name is Melissa Katz. I am a 24 year old college student working on my Bachelors of Social Work at UMBC. 

I have been babysitting for many different families throughout the past 10 years for children of all different ages, the youngest being 4 months. I am skilled in caring for infants and toddlers and all that is involed; feeding, changing diapers, bathing, playing, and wiping tears. 

Aside from my babysitting experience I have also worked as an art teacher for the past 4 years at the Painting Workshop. There, I taught art to children ages 5-9 after school and weekends, as well as "mommy and me" classes. I have also worked as the nature department head of a sleep over camp called Camp Louise during the summers of 2008 and 2009. 

I have a calm and patient demeanor, and have had a lot of practice in soothing stressful situations.  I also find it extremely important to keep children engaged by interacting with them through different games and activities. When it is nice outside, thats where I love to be. I love taking walks, playing ball, having picnics, making bouquets, building leaf piles, making nature art, finding cool rocks, etc. It is my style when I babysit to make sure that we are all laughing and having fun.
