   Hi, my names Courtney Baldwin I'm employed part-time at the Hudson Cafe in Downtown Detroit, and I am a part-time junior at Wayne State University. I'm studying Clinical Psychology, but I took the semester off to take care of a couple financial obligations and help my parents around the house a bit more. I have a pit bull named Bruzer, so I have experience with dogs, but I don't mind taking care of pets of any kind. I've looked after 8 year old twin niece and nephew, and my four year old nephew consistently for years and I've volunteered in an aid position with younger children for at least the last 6 years of my life. From Comcast Cares, to Building with Books, to the Children's Center on Woodward, I've managed and tutored from ages 1 month to 13+ from singular to groups of 15 and each age has been a great learning experience for a lot of kids as well as myself!

     I'll play any game the kids want to play and if I don't know how, I'll let them explain or have a promised, studied rematch the next time we meet! I'll participate in any arts and crafts, coloring, biking, tea parties, educational programming, and I can also whip up small summer work packets to make sure their little wheels keep turning! I'm semi-fluent in Spanish, and I'm currently perfecting my Arabic, if that helps me interact with anyone better at all. I'm not big on sweets but I do like to give them as a reward for good behavior; but not a bribe. I believe all children are well-mannered, polite, and intelligent. It just takes the right figure to bring out the best in them. My philosophy is "Always the Student" because there are too many things that we learn intentionally and indirectly each day to ever feel like we know enough. Also, to make your decision a more comfortable one, I've visited the Department of Human Services to obtain a background check that states that I'm legally fit to carry out my babysitter duties!
