To tell you a little bit about myself; my name is Miyoka Randle and I am 23 years old. I have three older sisters and one little brother. My little brother has autism and we found out last Father's Day that he has diabetes type one. My interest in children specifically came about at the age of seven. At the age of seven my mother was a babysitter and I use to help her. From then on I wanted to take care of children even more and my love for children grew. Currently, I live in Southfield, MI and I attend school at Ottawa University (online) majoring in psychology. Now that I am older I realized a lot about childhood; one thing in particular made an impact on my teaching style. While it is obvious, I realized that you can only be a child once and then it's over; all you have is memories. Because of this I want children to have a fun memorable experience. Therefore, there will be lots of arts and crafts and hands on activities(activities depend on age too). My goal is for children to learn something new (that they would like to know and need to know) everyday or whenever they are in my care. I have about 2 years of paid experience. Along with caring for children, I formerly played the organ for the children's choir and I volunteer in the children's ministry at my church home. I am a kind, patient, down to earth individual hoping to take care of your child :)
