Dear Family,

My name is Sandy Brosier.  I am 51 years old and am a mother of five grown children, and grandmother of 9 (soon to be 10) grandchildren.  I live in Lake Ann and have been in the Traverse City area since 1992.  I have lived my entire life in the state of Michigan and have family all over the state.  I am close to my family, having grown up in a large family myself, and then raising a large family. 

                I have been interested in caring for children my entire life and have devoted most of my life to raising my children and caring for other’s children.  I have not only been a stay-at-home mom, but I have also worked in child care facilities, done in-home child care, and also was a foster mom in the local area.   I have also worked with children with various special needs and abilities.  On top of my child care experience, I have my degree in Medical Assisting and have worked in various fields in this position.  However, my passion has always been for nurturing children, and I feel this is my calling. 

                Outside of my interest in nurturing children, I am interested in quilting, animals, reading and spending time with my husband, children and grandchildren.  I have recently been working on a quilt for my oldest grandson’s tenth birthday!   In the winter I love to be snuggled up indoors with a good book, or playing games and cooking with my grandchildren.  In the warmer weather I love to be outdoors and enjoying walking and spending time in the sunshine.

                I have a flexible and accommodating schedule to meet the needs of child care for your family.  I have a laid-back personality and able to adapt to new and changing issues inside the home.  I am knowledgeable about child rearing topics and understand the importance of routine and following a schedule for children.  I am able and willing to meet special needs of children from diet, to dress, to maintaining health care needs.
