Charity W. Babysitter in Lansing, MI 48912. Looking for work as a babysitter.

 I have always enjoyed working with children. I have been told that I act like a big kid. This can work to my advantage, especially since I am a music therapist who likes to work with children. As a babysitter or nanny I can bring a special set of skills to the table. My last employer really appreciated my ability to engage her son in activities in which he could keep his attention span. There was also an appreciation of carrying games forward into other activities that helped bridge some skills from play to the academic arena. I also worked at creative play therapy techniques that generalized into other areas that were being worked on such as social and communication skills. I am available to work as a live-in babysitter/nanny if the right family and situation arises, although I would want to bring my (3 cats). I am not afraid of doing laundry, cooking, cleaning, but my main skills include getting down on the floor interacting and playing with your children. I don't prefer to sit and watch tv and call that babysitting. I like to be active outside riding bikes, going for walks, taking them on mini adventures to the local library. There is a time for tv/video games but there are times for culture and life too.p.s I prefer working with children 2 yrs and up.
