About me: I am 19 years old but started working with children when I was 11. I began babysitting my infant cousins, and then branched out to babysitting jobs in my neighborhood. At 15/16, when I began driving I started my first summer nanny position and started babysitting more frequently in other cities. I went to Columbia Heights High School and graduated with honors. I participated in AP classes as well as PSEO so have been gaining a college education since the age of 16. I am currently attending St. Catherine University, and have my car with me on campus. I am working toward a degree in the medical field and would love to work in pediatrics. I enjoy working with all other ages of children and have done so through babysitting, nannying, tutoring, mentoring, teaching sports, and working in a nursery. I am CPR/First Aid certified in infants and children and I am also a very safe driver. I am comfortable with multiples, as I've worked with up to 7 children at a time. I am creative and active, and will encourage children to spend as much time outside as possible. I am very accepting of lifestyles, and will always follow and enforce household rules. I love all pets as well, and have no allergies. Last summer I cared for 4 children under the age of 4, and this school year I have been nannying two days a week for a 1.5 year old girl.

Shanae has a disposition that children are naturally drawn to. My 10-month old reached out his arms for her to hold him within 30 seconds of meeting her, which he NEVER does. She understands what babies need and knows how to engage and play with them. Shanae's also always very prompt and professional in her communication with me. I plan to have Shanae babysit as much as possible! - Paula L.

Everything about my interaction with Shanae has been extraordinary. She's a wonderful communicator, making it very easy to work out times, circumstances and payments for the babysitting work she does. She's always warm, professional and punctual (even at 6 a.m. on a Saturday). She babysits our 3yr. old daughter and 11yr. old son often and they're always excited when they get to hang out with her. Shanae has watched our now 10 month-old son two times and our son loves her. The first time he met her, he crawled right over to her and felt very comfortable with her. I can tell that Shanae is a natural with young children. Shanae also makes sure to be near her phone so that I can call her or text her at any time. I will always worry when I am away from my baby, but knowing that Shanae is with my son, helps me worry much less : ) - Shayla W.
