As a teacher who works during the academic year, I am interested in a seasonal summer position. My professional experience is rich and varied, and I have worn many hats through the years. In June 2011, I completed my doctoral degree requirements, and, in January 2012, I received my Ph.D. diploma. I have been teaching parent education in Minnesota since 1999, I advised and taught parent education licensure students for many years, and I have served the University of Minnesota in many different capacities since 1988.

In all my endeavors, I have been committed to aspects of diversity, and I have worked toward expanding our understanding of what diversity means in all personal and professional realms. I have had the opportunity to work with non-English speaking populations and to tap into my language skills, I have learned much from peoples of varying religious backgrounds, and I continually advocate for oppressed and marginalized populations and gain new understanding of life challenges through this work.
