My name is Alayna Peters. I am 24 years old and have lived in Omaha for about a year and a half. I moved here from Des Moines Iowa when I was married (my husband has lived here all of his life, he works as a Business Systems Analyst at Mutual of Omaha). My family has had an in home daycare since I was a kid and I had worked there many years with ages newborn to 13. I am the oldest of 3 and we were all home schooled and raised on a farm just outside of town. I have worked for Home Instead Senior Care for about 4 years in Iowa and some in Nebraska caring for the elderly and disabled in their homes, retirement homes and hospitals. I also do a lot of babysitting for for my brother and sister in law (their son is 1 year old now) and for other friends and family as well. I am trained in First Aid and CPR and early childhood development. I REALLY enjoy working with kids! 
 
We have a little boy on the way this spring (Caleb)! I am due around April 2nd. I am looking for a position that would allow me to be able to bring my son with me. I want to be able to be with him during the day, especially for the first few years of his life. I know this is something that some families mind and others do not. I would be willing to take a small cut in pay for this benefit. I would also provide our own food when he is old enough to start solids. My caring for him would not take away from the care I would be giving to the other child/children. I have been used to caring for infants (sometimes multiple) and older children at the same time with no difficulty.
