My name is Heather and I just graduated from The College of New Jersey.  I am a hardworking goal-oriented girl.  I was on the Dean's List and had two majors:  Elementary Education and Psychology.  I have my NJ Teaching Certification. In my down time, I spend time with my family and friends.  I have 2 nieces and 2 nephews, which are my life.  My one niece, in my default picture is practically my shadow and I spend a lot of time with her when I'm home from school.

I currently live in Toms River, NJ.  I have extreme patience with younger children and am very level headed in times of care.  I worked as the head Preschool teacher at a private childcare facility and even worked in The Disney Store for 3 years.

Being around my eight year old niece made me want to become a teacher.  I love teaching her new things and helping her grow past her childhood mentality.  I have observed and taught in 5 separate classrooms for the past  4 years, including a two month stint in a classroom student teaching in Mallorca, Spain this past year. I have experience with all age groups with one-on-one instruction and care.  My favorite ages are from 4 to 10, though I love spending time with younger children as well, since my nephew just turned 4 and is absolutely adorable to play with.

I don't have a specific sitting philsophy, and am open to any parental rules and norms.  I do believe that children should have time outside to play everyday, away from the television and video games if of course the neighborhood lends itself to that philsophy.  I love a great game of Red Light Green Light and enjoy a picnic dinner/lunch in the park.
