Hi! My name is Jessica Allen. I am 21 years old and in my 4th and final year at the University of Findlay. I am majoring in early childhood education because I love kids. I am a full time student. I will graduate May, 2013. I have grown up with almost all younger kids in my family. I was and still am the person everyone calls when they need a babysitter. I have been taking care of friends and family children since i was about 12 or 13. I watch my little cousins who are now 11 and 12 every time my aunt and uncle go on vacation by themselves, which is 1 or 2 times a year. I have been doing this for a few years. I keep them from a few days up to a week at a time. During any time I babysit, my responsibilities include: caring for the children, helping them with schoolwork/tutoring, cleaning, cooking, transportation, and caring for pets. I have a current job at Walmart and have been working there for about 3.5 years; however, I would prefer to babysit during the summer and just work at Walmart during the school year. I played basketball, volleyball, and softball all of my life growing up through high school. I am big on being active and academics. I have much experience caring for and being around children not only from growing up, but from my career choice. Last semester I was placed in a preschool classroom for 10 weeks. I was in this classroom every day, all day for 10 weeks. The children varied in ages from 3-5. Many of these children had special needs. I am not an  expert of children with special needs; however, I have learned about most of them and willing to learn more, considering i will be working with children with and without them for the rest of my life. I think I would make a great babysitter and role model for your child(s). I would be able to start anytime after the 2nd week of May and would have to be done by about the 3rd week of August.
