Astute Nanny moonlights as babysitter--11 years of childcare experience.

I started babysitting at 11.  I was quite mature:)  It was supervised by my mother but I was in charge.  I enjoyed the responsibility and appreciated the trust bestowed.  I was 13 when my 'official' childcare career began. 

Fast forward 13 years--I still enjoy babysitting! 

Respect is important to me.  Respect for adults and children alike. Respect for family rules.   I'm a stickler for bed times and good manners.

Healthy snacks are always on the menu and homework must be completed before extensive play time.  Although I do think wind down time is important as well.

During the last 13 years I have worked with wonderful families.  Some small and some rather large.  It has been my pleasure to assist as needed and help to create wonderful experiences for all. 

Recently, I have had the opportunity to work with an amazing little girl!  She turned 5 in July and I was her nanny since she was 5 months old.  While it saddens me that our time has come to an end, I am proud of the positive impact I made in her life and I am thankful that her family allowed me to help them raise her.
