I am a PhD student in history at The Ohio State University, and I will be spending this summer getting into adventures and learning with Tyson–my five and a half year old favorite sidekick slash stepson–while my wife Jenna is working at PNC Bank. Sitter City is our way of helping out other parents while also ensuring that Tyson has a playmate (or up to three) in his age range. We will be frequent visitors of the parks and libraries in the Clintonville/Worthington areas, playing baseball and basketball, pursuing obsessive quests to learn about whatever has struck our curiosities, eating an equitable balance of healthy mom-friendly food and fun dad-style food, spotting "slug bugs," listening to good music, watching movies, being artistic, and developing math and reading skills all summer long, and we would love enthusiastic company!

I'm thirty-two, a lifelong musician, and a scholar of Modern American history. I'm pretty funny (and rather animated), and thus typically a smash-hit with kids, dogs, and a growing contingent of grownups. My wife and I have been together nearly five years, so Tyson and I have been buddies since the early toddler days. We tend to read, create, or go exploring rather than watching television or playing video games–although we certainly enjoy those too!
