My name is Carl Friess, I am 20 years old and I am a third year psychology student at The Ohio State University. I have an interest in childhood and adolescent developmental psychology, and enjoy interacting with kids very much. I have plenty of experience working with kids, and have most recently sat for a falily with two boys ages 8 and 11. I am a big animal lover and have a few pets of my own, so that wouldnt be a problem. I have my own vehicle and have a fairly flexible schedule, (just working around my classes which finish by 5 at the latest). When it comes to babysitting I try to let the kids have fun, but still stick to the groundrules set by parents, which I respect heavily. I know that kids these days can be pretty caught up with tv, video games, ipads, etc... so I try to find other stimulating activities away from technology and media. I have had a lot of training with art and creative activities, as well as athletics and fun ways for kids to get more active and excercise. I am comfortable with kids of all ages and "personality types," (even those that are a handful...) I try to always keep a positive attitude, and do my best to keep the peace between siblings when the situation calls for it. I like to think that I have a good sense of humor, and it comes in handy when dealing with kids who may be missing their parents or in a bad mood. Overall I am pretty easygoing, but I know what is important must be done first (homework, chores) before the kids can have fun. While still being the present "authority figure," I'll try to be friends with the kids and be active and genuinely interested in whatever their interests may be. I am open for meetings before being hired for a job and I hope that I can make a good and lasting impression. I am available most any day, even on short notice. Thanks for the consideration!
