I have a strong interest in education at all levels and studied fine art and design in college. I love working with kids - reading stories, doing art projects, crafts, and playing games. I have worked with children in various capacities - all ages. My freshman year of college, I was an assistant teacher at a child development center (one full year, ages 6 weeks to preschool). I have tutored in math and science, worked as a part-time nanny (one child with autism), and often babysit for friends. I worked at an independent specialty toy store at various times over a period of nine years so have a knowledge of what toys are good for different ages, and how to play in ways that are both fun and educational.

I needed a last minute sitter and Anna was the first person to respond to my ad. Anna agreed to come to an interview that evening. I have to say I was very worried about hiring anyone at this point seeing as the last two sitters I hired were not very good for various reasons (I did not find them on sitter city) so I was pretty nervous. She interviewed well. So I decided to give her a try. She worked out great! Anna was very punctual, and most importantly very attentive of Emmet. She listened to all my instructions and made sure he was changed frequently, napped and was well fed. My husband and I do not have a schedule for Emmet so reading his cues are very important. Anna did fine. When I came home Emmet was very happy, smiling and had a dry diaper. After working with her for two days I offered her more days. I feel really lucky to have found someone who is punctual and genuinely likes children. I feel like Emmet is safe and well taken care of when I leave him in her care. I would definitely recommend hiring her :) - Karina F.
