Gabe R. Babysitter in Portland, OR 97209. Looking for work as a babysitter.

I am a 29-year-old Portland-based writer who works part time as a "manny" for a few families in the area. I have 10+ years of babysitting experience and love playing with kids & helping families with child care. I also do some part time pet-sitting and dog walking, and am happy to help in that realm as well. The family I most frequently sit for currently has three boys, ages 7, 8 and 9, though I do also take care of a couple of bouncing babies and some terrifically unpredictable toddlers in the mix among my regular families as well.  

I have a clean driving record and current Oregon license, and am willing/able to drive kids around in a family car (I do not have a vehicle of my own). I have lots of experience with pets of all kinds as well (a rambunctious pair of golden retrievers, aged 3 & 6 months, are my most frequent charges), with two cats of my own at home. I have experience with infants, toddlers, elementary & middle-school-aged children, with toddlers and elementary-aged kids representing most of my babysitting experience.

I really love to get active with kids and go outside for some fresh air and lots of play time. There isn't much sitting around when I'm with the kids; I won't be using our time together to do homework or get some reading done (unless it's past bedtime, of course). I find that kids respond well to me being a man...usually babysitters tend to be female and often times kids are excited to have a change of pace.
