Hello There!

My name is Danielle, I am 25 years old and I am a child-minder extraordinaire! I am interested in teaming up with a great family seeking a full-time nanny.

From an early age I have gravitated toward a role as a nurturing caregiver. I have been a regular sitter from the age of 11. I'm sweet, I have the patience of a saint, and I am sensitive to the needs of others. Most people would describe me as a genuine person. I absolutely adore working with infants/toddlers. My personality and gentile demeanor is suited perfectly for this age group.

I held a full time position as a head teacher in a day-care setting before moving on to care full-time for a wee one with special needs for nearly 2 years. I nannied 2 delightful infant girls in a nanny share situation until they were accepted into daycare - 1 year. I currently babysit regularly for families that I have been involved with for several years. These have all been spectacular experiences. I learn and grow exponentially as a caregiver with every new family I team up with.

What makes me exceptional: I highly value child-led adventures - especially those involving nature. I believe that building strong bonds through attachment caregiving is the foundation for a healthy child/caregiver relationship. I compassionately practice positive discipline with the child's stage of development in mind. I enjoy age appropriate art projects, visits to the Children's Museum/Oregon Zoo, play dates with friends, teaching beginner Spanish and American Sign Language, walks/park visits, singing/music, books/library visits-story time, and anything to help little ones learn, grow and explore life.

I use public transportation to get around town. This has never been a problem in the past, especially for those families with infants and toddlers that do not need transportation to and from school/activities. If you are comfortable with this and your home is accessible by Tri-Met, we may be a great fit!
