Hi, my name is Jeanne and I enjoy working with young kids!  I currently nanny for a local agency and I was a nanny for an agency for 10 years prior to having my daughter, who is 13 and stays with her dad while I work.  I am CPR (adult/Child) and First aid certified as well as I have a Serve safe food handler’s license (Professional food handlers).  I am a registered volunteer with the Reynolds school district, thus went through a rigorous background check as well as I assistant taught in the after school martial arts program this past year.

 I am available most days and hours, including overnights.  I charge between $10-$15 per hour, depending on number and age of kids or overnight.  Although I specialize in infants, I enjoy working with kids of all ages and abilities. I nannied  triplets boys for about 8 years and Quads.   I am not a big TV watcher for kids and prefer to engage them in activities outdoors as much as possible.   I enjoy going to the park, playing outdoors in the backyard, taking walks (your family dog can join us if you allow that!), and on rainy days sometimes walking the local mall just for a different view and to get out of the house.  When the opportunity presents itself, I enjoy taking the kids to OMSI, the Zoo, Children’s museum as well as local libraries for the various activities they have throughout the year. 

 If you desire me to regularly transport children to various activities, I am more than willing to but due to the high cost of gas, I do charge a gas fee of $ .25 per mile.  We can negotiate a flat rate.   I do possess a clean driving record that I can present to you. I have a 2010 Dodge minivan that is designed with kids in mind.   I have a 4 hour minimum.  References available.

A little bit more about me: I am an older mom (in my 40’s) and most recently from St. Louis Missouri where I lived for 23 years before moving to Portland in 1999 to study martial arts with a renowned teacher (Sifu).   I have a BA in English and am working towards my second degree in Business Marketing and Human Resources.  I am a writer and photographer; plus I write a quarterly newsletter for a martial arts group I have been involved with for the past 14 years.  I also plan seminars for a couple of the martial artists I train under. None of this would interfer with my work with your child(ren).
