Jasmine R. Babysitter in Philadelphia, PA 19121. Looking for work as a babysitter.

 Hello,

I am currently attending Temple University; my major is Early Childhood Education. I have been babysitting since I was 12.I have always had a soft spot for children since before I can remember. I’m usually the cousin who rounds up all the children at family gatherings and has them doing different activities such as putting on shows for the family and playing school.

Ever since I can remember I have always been the person friends and family call upon to watch the kids whenever needed. Since I am currently in school when I go home, this is usually what I am doing.

Currently I babysit my little cousin Bella who is 4, I have helped with potty training her as well helping with her flash cards and reading. I also babysit my little brothers and sister who range from 5 to 17. I have worked with multiples from the time they were born who are currently 5 so I am very comfortable with them as well. I have been exposed to many situation, so most things are probably not new to me.  I do not have a certain comfort level with age groups; I have been exposed to all of them. I am used to dealing with a house full of children varying in ages so I do not have a problem working under these situations.

I currently have a pet rabbit named Frankie and I do not have children. I volunteer as the SPCA from time to time walking the dogs there. I understand Spanish but I do not speak it, I am very comfortable in a Spanish household.

I try to keep children active, if they have homework to do that comes first but I really make an effort to be creative with them. Due to my major I am constantly up to date with new activities and techniques to get kids using their imagination and their brains. For example one summer I created a whole water day outside for the kids to do different activities. I feel like the more children are away from the TV and moving around the better it is for everyone.

I think I would be a great benefit to a family because I am responsible, fun and reliable. I am passionate about children and cannot wait to be able to do this every day. I take this very seriously, not many people can say they have made an impact on a child’s life. I want to be that person that children look back on and think, "Wow, she really helped me".
