I was raised in a very loving, nurturing and fun family. I have over 20 years of professional caretaking experience and countless hours of child development training. My focus is on the social and emotional needs of children. From 1989 until 2003 I ran my own registered Family Child Care Home in Levittown, serving 41 families, providing care for more than 64 children. In 1997 I became a nationally accredited provider and earned my CDA (Child Development Associate credential) specializing in infant & toddler development.

As the mother of 3 grown children and pictured in this profile with 4 out of my 7 grandchildren, I completely understand what it means to have your children safe and surrounded by a competent and caring person. The most rewarding feeling when I ran my family childcare business was knowing that I was able to give parents peace of mind when it came to placing their children in my care.

I am nurturing, loving, and I always have a positive attitude. I am a person with high energy; I’m flexible, and open to all possibilities. I also possess a good sense of humor (a must for working with children)!!  Being around children is always more of a pleasure than a challenge, but if there is a challenging situation I am up for it. In my experience even the most difficult child can be managed without force or punishment- my philosophy of discipline is to teach, not to control. In addition to my extensive child development skills I also have much training and experience working with children who have special needs.
