Summarizing who I am, not an easy job, but I will try to keep it brief. I am born and raised in Dallas to a liberal Catholic family. I have been truly blessed with two of the most fantastic people to call my parents, along with two successful and talented older brothers that definitely influenced the person that I am today. My father is a retired businessman, while my mother raised us kids and taught at Brookhaven College at the same time. My mother and the other relatives in my life certainly influenced my desire to teach and help children, besides my mother, my uncle is the Headmaster of a school in New Orleans, an aunt teaches in Georgia, another aunt used to teach and sat on the Board of Education in Yardley, PA, two cousins teach, etc...
Naturally as I evolved as an individual during college, so did my views in education. My desires to be a teacher at the elementary level has changed, sparking a passion for educational techniques/policies and discovering which practices work through researching other types of pedagogy.
