Hello my name is Venita Walker a Family child Care Provider here in Cibolo Texas. I have been a child care provider since May 22,2007 til now. In 2007 I worked as an Independent Contractor for the Military in AZ at Fort Huachuca were I was a Family Child Care Provider. I have a Degree in  Social Science/Liberal Arts with a Minor in Education. I've worked as a Teacher's assistant for about five years after college and a Head teacher in the infant room at a daycare in Whiteplains  NY in 2000. As a teenager I have counseled sleep away and day camps. "Pathways For Youth" in NY and Castle Hills Boys and Girls Club. Reference letters available. While attending college I took a few courses in education such as Foundations Of Education,Early Childhood and Children's Literature. The College Of New rochelle has helped me in gaining the skills and talents needed in order to work with multi age groups. I am the Author of the Children Book series "Shareeka's Life" and I owe it all to the committed talented Professors at the College Of New Rochelle.  I've chosen to become a Family Child Care Provider here in Arizona because of my background in Education. I have been working with different age groups in many different areas of child care since the age of fifth-teen with Summer Youth Employment in New York City. I choose Family Child Care because, I enjoy working with children. I most of all enjoy playing a large part in their development and education. It feels my heart to know that I've made a difference in the lives of these little people. Being a parent has helped alot in providing the proper care for children within my home because I'm aware of their wants and needs and it's helped me in achieving the goals set to run a good child care Business.
