My name is Elba, I have worked as a nanny in New York City and DC for 3 years. I'm CPR certified, fluent in Spanish, extremely energetic and loving and have a lot of experience with infants and younger children.
I currently nanny two boys in the Old Towne section of Alexandria. Their ages are 2 and 5, we are constantly going to parks, libraries, playdates, museums and engaging in other fun, mentally stimulating activities. I'm with the boys from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, M-F. The only reason I am leaving this job come January is because it was a temp position because the family's nanny was on maternity leave. They would love to be a reference if you'd like their contact information.
Before the boys, I used to nanny a 23 month old girl named Kira. I worked M-F 7:45 Am to 5:45 PM. I cooked and served her breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. We read daily and took weekly trips to the park, libaray and scheduled playdates. No tv or computer by any means.
My nannying job before my current one was in Manhattan to a French family. They're listed in my references and have no problem with you calling. I took care of their 3 year old daughter, Anna, for 11 months- Monday-Friday from 9 am to 5:30 pm. I did everything from changing Anna, to preparing breakfast and lunch, taking her to nearby parks, setting up playdates and weekly trips to the library. We did good amount of reading as her parents didn't like her watching television. The reason I no longer work for them is because they're planning their return to France and because their daughter enrolled in school FT.
My prior bosses are listed in my references and have no problem with you contacting them.
Elba Remite-Berthet
(Below is attached a letter of recommendation from the last family I worked for)
Recommendation letter for Elba Gabriela Remite
New York, 09 November 2011
Elba has been a nanny for our daughter Anna, born 05/28/2008 between December 1st 2010 and August 2011. Separation was due to Anna going to school.
Throughout the year, Elba has brought a lot to Anna and Anna is (still today) very fond of her and asking about her.
Elba is a clean and reliable person always on time. She is also very warm and caring and full of energy.
She is serious, and will report on anything that happened during the day. She is easy to talk to, and will listen carefully to what we want and immediately turn it into action.
We warmly recommend her to your family and are available should you need more information on Marie's phone: xxx-xxx-xxxx
Kind regards,
Marie and Matthieu Cassegrain
