I teach three and four-year-olds at a DC public charter school. I studied Political Science and Education in college, and will be starting a gradaute program in Early Childhood Special Education this summer. I have worked with dozens of families as a daytime and evening babysitter, and have several years of experience teaching infants, toddlers, and preschoolers at a full-day child care center.
I am certified in Infant and Child CPR and Pediatric First Aid. Through my coursework at Boston University, I took classes in Child Development and Early Childhood Education. Most importantly, I am reliable, patient, and compassionate. I set appropriate limits and help children to communicate when conflicts arise. I encourage routines and learning through play. Overall, I am really a kid at heart - I love playing board games, reading picture books, and watching disney movies as much as they do!

It was the first time I had to leave my 2 1/2 month old with a sitter and Megan did fabulous. I had tons of communication with her leading up to it and that definitely helps my nerves. She texted me which I was at the meeting saying everything was ok.She gave me a run down of how the time when I got back and I felt like she was a great choice to watch my little man :) ~Jenn - Jenn A.

We can't say enough wonderful things about Megan. She was absolutely fantastic with our two kids, ages 2 years and 5 months. We traveled to Washington for a wedding, and we were able to enjoy the weekend events because we knew that the kids were having fun with her at the hotel.
