Hello. I am a 2010 graduate of Longwood University. I began working with children in 2006, when I volunteered at a local preschool and was eventually offered a position there. I worked there for about a year, until I wasn't able to work there anymore because the hours conflicted with my school schedule. During my time at the preschool, I worked with children ranging from 4 months to 11 years old. I assisted teachers in their classrooms with feeding, nap time, water play, and art projects. I really enjoyed doing the art projects especially the painting and the crafts. I also substituted classes while teachers were out or on vacation. I also have experience working as a dietary aide/chef, so I am able to prepare meals if necessary. I currently work full time in Richmond and I am going back to school to obtain my teaching license, so I am looking for a way to make extra money to make ends meet and pay for school. I believe I am the best candidate for this position because I am honest, dependable, energetic and I love working with children. Thank you for your time.
I have volunteered and worked in a preschool setting for approximately two years. I have also babysat children at a wedding. I have babysitting experience with children ranging from 2-12 years old and I have cared for 4+ children at a time.
