Well, it’s not exactly hard news, but we’ve been getting into some great debates here on the blog, so we figured it wouldn’t hurt to post a “soft news” piece as a departure from the bigger stuff. Let’s get to it!

According to the NY Observer, Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel used to babysit little Paris and Nicky Hilton back in the day. Small world, huh?

This babysitting connection was revealed at the Jill Stuart show on Monday night when the Hilton sisters showed up — thanks to Bethenny, apparently.

“Bethenny asked them to come to the show, to give them a copy of her new book,” Ms. Frankel’s publicist told the Daily Transom.

Ms. Frankel, who is a natural foods chef, added, “It’s called Naturally Thin. It’s all about staying thin, but healthy.”

Do the Hilton sisters need books on staying thin? “They’re in the book!” said Ms. Frankel. “You know, I used to baby-sit Nicky and Paris. Actually, you’re the first person I’ve told that to.”

Bethenny went on to say that this whole babysitting thing came about because “Kathy Hilton’s sister, Paris and Nicky’s aunt, is a very, very good friend.”

When asked what it was like babysitting for the Hilton girls, the Real Housewives star brought it back to the book once again. “It’s all in the book, it’s all there,” she said. “I included them because they’re such a good example of good eating. You know, they’re not obsessed with food-they sometimes eat a cheeseburger.”
