Is Your Pet Left-Pawed or Right-Pawed?

Who knew that pets had a preferred, uh, paw just as we have a dominant hand? It certainly never crossed OUR minds. But according to tests at the Institute for the Study of Animal Problems in Washington, DC, dogs and cats were actually shown to favor one paw over the other.

Take a closer look at your pets next time they’re playing, pawing at you to get attention or otherwise using their paws. Do you notice one paw being used more than the other? Had you ever noticed this before?

I’ve noticed before, too. My current cat is right pawed and uses it to ‘catch’ my hand to give me sweet kitty kisses. lol :D Also, that I can think of, most of the cats in my life are also right pawed.
