I worked at animal shelters in New England for years and they’re very rewarding places not only to work, but to volunteer, visit, or adopt a pet.

I have visited the animal shelter in Newark Ohio today. They do a good job caring for the animals and keeping everything clean. I plan to help care for these animals this year.

We are fortunate to have an excellent animal shelter in Boise. The Idaho Humane Society does a great job of caring for the animals and making every effort to place ALL adoptable animals. Volunteers like Cathleen Catti spend their days making sure dogs get into foster homes or adopted when they’ve been there too long. As a pet sitter in Boise, I offer a discount to my clients who adopt cats and dogs from I.H.S. or other local rescue groups.
