There are quite a few reasons to use Sittercity's email, the most important one being privacy reasons. When you don't reveal your personal email to Sittercity members, it limits their ability to contact you directly for reasons other than caregiving (like, say, spam).

Another reason to use our email system is that you can read your messages on our website instead of through your own email client. This way, important Sittercity-related messages don't get lost in the shuffle of your existing inbox messages. It's a great way to compartmentalize this area of your life and prevent yourself from overlooking emails from Sittercity members looking to establish beneficial caregiving relationships.
