What does the plus sign do in Compose a Message?

Back to help

Next to the "send message to" field, you'll see a plus sign. Clicking it activates your address book so that you don't have to memorize and type other members' Sittercity usernames.

Once you click the plus sign, the open text field turns into a drop-down menu from which you can select a member's username. Once you select someone, the box turns back into the open text field and now displays the username you've chosen.

Note: You may only send an email to one person at a time, as an effort to prevent spam.

If you accidentally click the plus sign and then realize you don't want your address book open, all you have to do is click the box again (it has turned into an "x" symbolizing that you may click it to close).

And how does the address book know what usernames to include?

Anyone you have on your Saved Members list is included automatically, as well as any Sittercity member you've emailed in the past. You may only edit your address book by editing your Saved Users list, but please note that this will not change the address book's list of members who've had previous contact with. Those may not be altered/edited.
