If, for whatever reason, you simply don't want anything to do with any particular members, you can prevent them from getting in touch with you by adding them to your Blocked Members list. (They'll never know you blocked them and you may unblock them at any time.)

As with Saved Members, if you've already memorized the offender's username, you can add them to your blocked list by clicking Manage My Account on your My Sittercity dashboard. From there, click the link on the left reading Blocked Members and type in the username. 

Another quick way to block someone is to click the link on her profile that says Block.

As long as you're using your Sittercity email or the personal email you registered with, the blocked member will be out of your life forever. Or, you know, until you unblock her.
